That is a really helpful article, and I appreciate how the example is realistic, yet isn't about blame but acceptance of unchangeable history and release of lies. The gaslight hurt, and it hurt daily many times over many years. It helps me realize there is a little more grief work there I need to deal through, but it's worthwhile to let it run its course so it can decrease and subside. Thank you! It's validating to see how it truly was, and to know how wrong it was. Most of all, it's good to know how to grow beyond it!

Dear KDJ, that is a question I get asked often. It's the reason I wrote my second book, Running On Empty No More: Transform Your Relationships. It's all about how to talk about and deal with CEN with the most important people in your life. It's available everywhere, including libraries if you'd rather borrow. Take care!

Hi,

On reaching out to family members/friends, what is the best way to actually tell them this problem we're facing ; because most people hardly understand or believe what we're going to say especially that the neglect happened involves parents of whom they would usually regard as 'innocent'
